Iberostar 4-Day Solimoes Cruise

Day 1, Friday
3:00 pm - 4:30 pm Passengers check-in at Iberostar reception office in the harbor building
5:30 pm: Embarkation
6:00 pm: Ship departs to Novo Airão followed by the Captain's welcome cocktail party, presentation of officers and crew in the Lua salon, lecture on safety and abandon ship procedures. Welcome Dinner. (D)
9:30 pm: Live music and first contacts in the party salon and open bar on the top deck

Day 2, Saturday
The ship will cruise through through Manacapuru harbor in the wee hours of the morning and arrive at the mouth of the io Manacapuru. After breakfast there will be a tekking and photo safari in the Manacapuru region followed by a boat excursion through Igarapés and Igapós (flood plains and rivers). The ship will then contiue cruising to Lago do Jacaré, while the passengers enjoy lunch and a theme lecture on board. In the afternoon there will be a bird watching excursion to Lago do Rei and optional piranha fishing. After dinner there will be a night excursion for alligator spotting. (B, L, D)

On the way to Janauacá

Day 3, Sunday
The ship will cruise through the night to Lago Janauacá, arriving at dawn. Breakfast will be following by a bird watching excursion at Lago Janauacá, followed by a photo safari or a trekking excursion. The ship will then cruise to the Igarapé do Rei on the Rio Amazonas, while the passengers enjoy lunch and a theme lecture on board. After lunch you will have a bird watching and alligator-spotting safari on the Igarapé do Rei. You will have free time to watch one more sunset on the upper deck, before joining your newly found friends and the crew for a farewell dinner, followed by a folkloric show in the salon. (B, L, D)

Day 4, Monday
Cruising back to Manaus, the ship will pass the famous 'Meeting of the Waters' a phenomenon where the black water of the Rio Negro meets the muddy, brown water of the Rio Solimôes, and they flow side by side for miles at different speeds, with many eddies and swirls for miles.
8:00 am: Check out, Arrival at Manaus, Passengers disembark. (B)

Iberostar 5-Day Rio Negro Cruise

Day 1, Monday
3:00 pm to 4:30 pm: Passengers check-in at Iberostar reception office in the harbor building

Day 2, Tuesday
Arrival at Novo Airao.
Following a sunrise breakfast, passengers will embark on the tenders (boats) for a trekking through the igarapés (flood waters of the Rio Negro) and visit to pink dolphins at Novo Airão, followed by a photo safari at Lago Aracari, optional piranha fishing. After dinner there will be a night excursion for alligator spotting. (B, L, D)

Day 3, Wednesday
There will be a very early morning bird watching excursion at Río Puduari before breakfast. After breakfast, passengers will embark again on the boats for trekking along the Rio Puduari to Ilha de Jacaré, followed by a photo safari at Igarapé Aturiá. After lunch, there will be a boat excursion through the Igarapé Aturiá. (B, L, D)

Day 4, Thursday
The ship will cruise in the night, arriving in the morning at at Río Cuieiras. After breakfast there will be a trekking excursion followed by a photo safari at Rio Cuieiras and then a visit to Cambebas Community. The ship will then cruise to Praia Grande where you will enjoy a boat excursion through Igarape del Pato. You will have free time on the white sand beach at Praia Grande, before joining your newly found friends and the crew for a farewell dinner, followed by a folkloric show in the salon. (B, L, D)
