Lakes Crossing Itinerary
Itinerary
Day One: To Puerto Montt Fly from Santiago or Punta Arenas to the fishing village Puerto Montt (right), the gateway to Chile's Lake District on the Relancavi Estuary. Afternoon tour of this quaint fishing village and her sister city, Puerto Varas on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. You will enjoy the market at Angelmo, with the open-air crafts fair. (B)
Day Two: Lake District Begin
this overland journey through pine forests, past tranquil farms and
over broad lakes on the way to Argentina. Bus past Lake
Llanquihue to Petrohue to
board a boat crossing Lake Todos Los Santos to Peulla for overnight at La
Natura Hotel. (B, D)
Day Three: Arrive Bariloche Continue through the Lake District with a bus ride over the Continental Divide into Argentina, crossing Lagunas Frias by boat and on to Puerto Blest by bus. Cruise on Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Panuelo and proceed overland to downtown Bariloche and your hotel. (B)
Day Four: Bariloche to Buenos Aires Transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. (B)
