Galapagos Islands Cruise Itineraries M/Y Yolita II
Day 1 - Thursday: Baltra Airport - Baltra Island & Santa Cruz Island - Charles Darwin Station - Highlands: Upon arrival you will be met by your naturalist guide and transferred to the M/Y Yolita II in order to start your 4-day cruise. You will board and set sail. After lunch, in the afternoon we will visit the highlands of Santa Cruz in search of the giant tortoises. We will also visit "Gemelos" craters and lava tunnels. (L, D) Day 2 - Friday: Rabida Island - Chinese Hat: Today we will visit Rabida Island. In this volcanically varied island we will have the opportunity to see sea lions and pelicans nesting up close. It also has a beautiful lagoon for viewing flamingoes. After lunch, we will visit Chinese Hat; here the landscape is dominated by volcanic material. Here we will find sea lions and Sally Lightfoot crabs. (B, L, D) Day 3 - Saturday: Bartolome Island - Black Turtle Cove: Today is a very special day because we will visit Bartolome! This island is one of the youngest islands in the archipelago. It presents an incredible landscape of lava formations. Great opportunity for pictures! Also you will have the chance to swim with penguins. After lunch we continue to Black Turtle Cove, where you will be able to watch the Galapagos green sea turtles. (B, L, D) Day 4 - Sunday: North Seymour & Baltra Island - Baltra Airport: This morning our last visit is to North Seymour, which is located north of Baltra and it is covered with low bushy vegetation, it has large populations of Frigate birds and Blue-footed Boobies. Afterwards we disembark on Baltra Island and transfer to the airport for flight back to mainland Ecuador. (B) M/Y
Yolita II Itinerary Day 1 - Sunday: Baltra Airport - Bachas Beach: Upon arrival you will be met by your naturalist guide and transferred to the M/Y Yolita II in order to start your 5-day cruise. You will board and set sail. In the afternoon visit Bachas Beach at Santa Cruz Island. (L, D) Day 2 - Monday: Plazas Island - Santa Fe Island: This day we will enjoy a visit to Plazas Island, where we can admire one of the largest populations of land iguanas in the Galapagos and also a large colony of sea lions. After lunch we will visit Santa Fe Island, where you will have the chance to swim with sea lions and is also a great place to catch a glimpse of the Galápagos white-tipped shark and sea turtles. (B, L, D) Day 3 - Tuesday: Española Island: Punta Suárez - Gardner Bay: Today we will have the chance to explore Española island! We will visit Punta Suarez, which is known for its varied colonies of sea birds including large colonies of blue footed boobies and masked boobies. If we are lucky we will get to see marine iguanas! After enjoying a delicious lunch we will visit Gardner Bay, which is located on the eastern shore of the island. Here you will have the opportunity to walk in a white sandy beach with sea lions. Great opportunity to enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the clear turquoise waters. (B, L, D) Day 4 - Wednesday: Floreana Island: Punta Cormorant - Corona Del Diablo and Post Office Bay:This day we will be visiting the famous Floreana Island. In Punta Cormorant we will have the chance to see flamingoes in a quiet lagoon behind a dense mangrove-belt.Next visit: the Devil's Crown, a deep crater where Blue-footed Boobies are found. In this beautiful place you'll be able to enjoy snorkel in clear waters. Good opportunity to see colorful starfish. Post Office Bay is a well-known place because of the pirates' post office! This morning disembark at Puerto Ayora on the island of Santa
Cruz and visit the important Charles Darwin Research Station
to learn about the conservation of the islands. Afterwards
we disembark on Baltra Island and transfer to the airport for
the flight back to mainland Ecuador.
