The
Picoaga Hotel, originally the old mansion of the 17th Century
Spanish noble, the Marquis of Picoaga, has now been converted
into a comfortable hotel. The beautifully restored hotel has 72
rooms, some in the 'colonial' area and some in the 'modern' area,
all with private bathroom, wall-to-wall carpeting, central heating,
air-conditioning, security box, cable television, fridgebar, hair
dryer, and international direct-dial telephone. Hotel amenities
include: (2) Restaurants, bar, room-service, nursery, laundry
service, mail service, internet access, airport transport, money
exchange, conference room and parking. The public areas are beautifully
decorated in the colonial architectural style, framed by fine
stone archways on two levels; beautiful columns; capiteles and
Spanish patio. The hotel is only three blocks from the Cuzco Main
Square and the center of all monuments. Within a short walk, one
can admire the historical splendor of the archeological capital
of the Americas, making this an ideal accommodation for visitors
to the ancient capital of the Incas.
