 Morning
departure for a two-hour scenic drive to the embarkation point on the
Reventazon River. This is a Class III river and first you will participate
in a brief instruction session on safety before beginning the nine-mile
run. There will be a mid-day stop for a gourmet picnic lunch along the
banks. It is recommended that you wear a swimsuit under your clothing
(shorts or long pants and a light-weight shirt). Tennis shoes are mandatory!
Bring suntan lotion, sun glasses, a light rain jacket, and a set of dry
clothing, which will be waiting for you in the vehicle at the end of the
run. There are showers and dressings rooms at the take-out landing. You
should be back in San Jose by 6:30 P.M. with the remainder of the evening
