Day 2: Arrive in Buenos Aires Morning arrival and transfer to your selected hotel. In the afternoon you will have a tour of the "Paris of South America." Drive down 9th of July Avenue, the widest street in the world, past the Colon Opera House to the Plaza de Mayo. The plaza is faced by the pink Presidential Palace and the National Cathedral that houses the tomb of the liberator, San Martin. Next visit "La Boca," the old port district with its pastel houses and shops. You will have time to browse for souvenirs. Days 3 & 4: In Buenos Aires Two days completely free to explore on your own. Sip traditional tea at a local teashop or visit one of the estancias on the pampas. One evening you will enjoy a typical Argentine beef dinner followed by a folklore show and Tango performance. (B, D) Day 5: Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls (airfare is not included), where you will be met and taken to your selected hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B) Day 6: At Iguazu Falls Your guide will pick you up at your hotel for a dramatic tour of the falls from the Argentine side. Day 7: Iguazu Falls to Mendoza Morning departure for your return flight to Buenos Aires (airfare is not included) and connecting service to Mendoza. Meeting service and transfer to your selected hotel. (B) Day 8: In Mendoza Today you will the head towards the districts of Maipú and Luján de Cuyo, passing by large plantations of vineyards and fruit trees. You'll visit and taste the wines of two well-known wine cellars. Later on visit to the Carrodilla Church and its Patron Virgin of the Vineyards. (B) Day 9: Mendoza to Santiago and Homeward Bound This morning you will spend a peaceful time touring around Mendoza, visiting the main attractions. This capital city harmoniously combines natural landscapes with those that were modified by man. Along General San Martin Avenue to the north, is the Paseo de las Alamedas (Poplars Avenue) with thick vegetation, fountains and wide sidewalks. A few blocks further is the Foundation Area - an historical area around Pedro de Castillo Square. You will have the afternoon at leisure to enjoy more sightseeing before your evening flight to Santiago (airfare is not included), where you will connect with your night flight home.
