The
quaint three star Sol Y Luna Hotel is located in the heart of the
Sacred Valley of the Incas in the village of Huicho, less than a
mile from Urubamba. Just under an hour's drive from Cuzco, Sol Y Luna makes a perfect home base for visiting the ancient villages
of Pisac, Ollantaytambo and other nearby archaeological and cultural
places of interest. The hotel consists of 28 bungalows: 23 doubles,
3 family bungalows and 2 suites, all designed to reflect the rustic
ambience of the Andean culture. Linked by paved garden pathways,
and surrounded by eucalyptus trees and the majestic Vilcabamba and
Vilcanota mountain ranges, the bungalows have tastefully appointed
interiors, including telephone, king-sized beds, private bath and
hot water all day. Each bungalow has its own private terrace. The
Killa Wasi restaurant features Peruvian dishes, as well as international
cuisine, served indoors and out. The hotel also has a bar, swimming
pool, and offers a safe-deposit box, e-mail service and laundry
service.
